CannonDesign is seeking an experienced Interior Designer II to join their multidisciplinary team in Chicago, Illinois. This role focuses on both design and technical aspects, collaborating closely with design and technical leadership to contribute to various phases of interior design projects. The position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects within a dynamic and innovative environment.

In this role, the Interior Designer II will assist the Senior Interior Designer and/or Project Manager in executing project goals across all phases, including programming, schematic design, design development, construction documents, and construction administration. Responsibilities include developing interior space designs through planning and three-dimensional studies, creating detailed documentation such as floor plans, reflected ceiling plans, elevations, and details, and supporting furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FFE) selection and specifications throughout all project phases. The designer will also participate in client meetings to gain interaction and presentation experience, and engage in construction administration activities, including site visits and reviewing submittals and shop drawings.

Candidates should possess a Bachelor or Master's degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or a relevant field, with a minimum of 4 years of related experience. Current NCIDQ certification is preferred. A strong creative design portfolio is essential, along with excellent communication, teamwork, presentation, graphics, and organizational skills. Proficiency in Revit, Enscape, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Creative Suite is required. Travel may be required for site visits and client meetings.

The salary range for this position is $57,905 to $72,335 annually. Employees may be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
