Colorado Access MLP Attorney (1-year grant funded)

Colorado Legal Services is seeking a dedicated attorney to join our team as a Colorado Access MLP Attorney. This position is funded by a one-year grant and focuses on providing legal assistance within a medical-legal partnership framework. The attorney will collaborate closely with healthcare providers to address the legal needs of patients, enhancing overall health outcomes.

The primary responsibilities include identifying and addressing legal issues affecting patients, such as housing, public benefits, and family law matters. The attorney will conduct legal assessments, provide counsel, and represent clients in administrative and judicial proceedings. Additionally, the role involves developing and delivering training sessions for healthcare staff on recognizing and referring legal issues.

Candidates must possess a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and be licensed to practice law in Colorado. A minimum of two years of legal experience, preferably in civil legal aid or a related field, is required. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with medical professionals are essential.
