IT Solutions Architect (Chromatography)
Eurofins is seeking an IT Solutions Architect specializing in chromatography to design, implement, and optimize the hardware-software infrastructure for chromatography data systems (CDS) and analytical instruments. This role bridges laboratory workflows with IT, ensuring scalable cloud and on-premises solutions for data management, instrument connectivity, and regulatory compliance.
Key responsibilities include developing architecture models for CDS, integrating chromatography hardware with software platforms, and defining solution frameworks for full-stack components supporting laboratory informatics platforms. The role also involves collaborating with consultants and developers to oversee algorithms for peak integration, calibration, and quantitation, often leveraging cloud computing and AI/ML. Additionally, the architect will configure network-connected laboratory instruments with LIMS and data warehouses, ensure data integrity and compliance with regulatory standards, define technical specifications, and optimize system performance, scalability, and security.
The ideal candidate will possess deep knowledge of chromatography techniques such as HPLC and GC, and data systems like Waters Empower and Chromeleon. Proficiency in programming languages including C#, C++, and TypeScript, as well as database technologies like SQL and NoSQL, is essential. Experience in designing and implementing solution frameworks backend services, Web APIs, and Angular applications is required. Candidates should have experience with cloud platforms, particularly Azure, and hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Software Engineering, or a related field. A minimum of five years of experience in laboratory informatics, system integration, and software development for scientific equipment, along with three years as an architect in a mature organization with a defined SDLC, is expected.
