IT Solutions Support Engineer - Junior
Eurofins is seeking a Junior IT Solutions Support Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will provide first and second-level technical support for Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) applications, ensuring seamless operations within our global network. As a Junior IT Solutions Support Engineer, your primary responsibilities will include investigating, troubleshooting, and resolving incidents within agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs). You will log, track, and manage tickets using IT Service Management tools, perform initial root cause analyses, and escalate complex issues to appropriate teams. Collaborating with IT Operations, Development, and other stakeholders, you will ensure timely resolution of technical challenges. Additionally, you will develop and debug scripts to automate workflows, maintain accurate documentation, and support IIS-hosted web applications while monitoring system performance.
The ideal candidate will have up to 2 years of experience in IT support, application support, or helpdesk roles. A basic understanding of Windows Server environments, networking fundamentals, and experience with SQL queries (MS SQL Server/T-SQL) are essential. Familiarity with ticketing systems like ServiceNow or BMC Remedy, knowledge of ITIL practices, and exposure to IIS-hosted applications are also required. Strong problem-solving skills, effective communication in an international environment, and the ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities are crucial. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience, is preferred.
This position offers a hybrid work schedule from Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 18:00, with the expectation of availability one weekend per month as part of a rotation schedule.
