Japan Channel Account Manager
The Japan Channel Account Manager at Canva will be a key member of the Partnerships team within the Sales & Success Supergroup, focusing on expanding Canva's presence in the Japanese market. This role involves managing relationships with distributor SoftBank C&S and a network of resellers, aiming to drive growth and performance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in channel management and a deep understanding of the Japanese market.
Key responsibilities include serving as the primary relationship manager for SoftBank C&S and a portfolio of resellers, prospecting and onboarding new partners, and implementing comprehensive partner enablement strategies. The role also involves creating and executing business plans with partners, tracking performance metrics, and collaborating with marketing and sales teams to develop co-branded campaigns and lead-generation programs. Additionally, the manager will be expected to deliver training programs and sales collateral to equip partners with the necessary tools to effectively sell Canva's solutions.
Candidates should have extensive channel management experience in the Japanese market, with a proven track record of driving growth with resellers and distributors. Experience working with Japan’s largest software resellers and existing relationships within the industry are highly advantageous. Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills are essential, along with analytical abilities to leverage data for performance improvements. Proficiency in CRM systems, particularly Salesforce, and direct customer sales experience are preferred. Fluency in both Japanese and English, both spoken and written, is required.
