Junior Automation Engineer

Eurofins is seeking a Junior Automation Engineer to join our team in Hindmarsh, South Australia. In this role, you will collaborate with a small team of engineers to develop and maintain automation solutions that streamline laboratory processes. While primarily based in Hindmarsh, some interstate travel may be required.

Key responsibilities include designing, prototyping, and managing robotic systems that encompass mechanical, electrical, and software components. You will develop control algorithms for robot trajectory planning and object manipulation, as well as create intuitive user interfaces to facilitate process management. Additionally, you will perform comprehensive testing and validation to ensure systems meet performance, quality, and safety standards.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's Degree in Robotics/Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, with at least one year of experience in designing, prototyping, testing, and debugging robotic systems. Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++ and Python, along with skills in 3D CAD modeling software like SolidWorks or Fusion360, is essential. Experience with microcontrollers such as ESP32 and STM32, as well as knowledge in circuit and PCB design, is highly desirable. Strong communication skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment are also important.
