Junior Data Scientist
WPP Media is seeking a Junior Data Scientist to join our analytics team in Toronto, Canada. As part of WPP's AI-driven media operating unit, we integrate media, data, and partnerships to deliver personalized marketing solutions at scale. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to data-informed decisions across marketing, customer analytics, and business strategy.
In this position, you will develop and implement Bayesian statistical models for various business and marketing applications. Responsibilities include building and maintaining Marketing Mix Models (MMM) to assess channel effectiveness, performing data cleaning and exploratory data analysis, and supporting model validation and performance monitoring. Collaboration with cross-functional teams and translating analytical results into actionable business insights are key aspects of the role.
Candidates should possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field. A strong understanding of Bayesian statistics and familiarity with Marketing Mix Modeling concepts are essential. Proficiency in Python or R, knowledge of SQL, and a solid foundation in statistical modeling and machine learning are also required.
