Lab Technician

Eurofins Scientific is seeking a dedicated Lab Technician to join our team in Girraween, NSW. In this position, you will be responsible for preparing soil and water samples in accordance with accredited methods, entering data results into spreadsheets, and prioritizing samples with shorter turnaround times. Additional duties include replenishing consumable items from warehouse supplies, performing calibrations of laboratory equipment such as auto-pipettes and balances, maintaining cleanliness and organization within the laboratory, and sorting and organizing analyzed samples for storage. You will also perform any other tasks assigned by the Section Supervisor, ensuring all duties are carried out professionally and safely.

The ideal candidate should possess a solid understanding of chemistry and mathematics, equivalent to Year 11 in Australia or Year 12 in New Zealand. While a science degree is not mandatory, experience with Microsoft applications is beneficial. A strong desire to continually learn and improve, coupled with a hands-on, hardworking attitude and a common-sense approach, is essential for success in this role.

This full-time position requires shift work from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM and offers an additional 1.5% superannuation on top of the national standard rate.
