Laboratory Metrology Technician - Tues-Sat 12pm-6:30pm
The Laboratory Metrology Technician at Eurofins is responsible for ensuring that laboratory equipment used for analytical and scientific work is maintained and calibrated in accordance with relevant standards. Working within a collaborative team environment, the technician plays a critical role in supporting the operational activities of one of the world’s leading laboratory service providers, renowned for excellence in testing, inspection, and certification across various industries.
In this position, the technician's day-to-day duties include performing scheduled calibrations, preventative maintenance, and verification of laboratory instruments and equipment, primarily during the Tuesday through Saturday 12pm to 6:30pm shift. Responsibilities also include documenting calibration data, troubleshooting equipment malfunctions, coordinating repairs, and working closely with technical staff to address instrumentation needs and ensure compliance with regulatory and quality requirements.
Candidates for this role should have a background in electronics, engineering technology, or instrumentation, as well as hands-on experience with calibration procedures, laboratory standards, and equipment troubleshooting. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and within a regulated environment are essential. An associate’s degree or equivalent technical education is preferred, and prior experience in a laboratory or metrology setting will be highly regarded.
