Laboratory Quality Manager
Eurofins is seeking an experienced Laboratory Quality Manager to lead and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) for our food testing operations, ensuring full compliance with ISO/IEC 17025 and Eurofins Group Quality requirements. Based in Auckland, this role also provides quality leadership and support to Eurofins Food and Water laboratories across New Zealand and Australia, contributing to regional alignment and high technical standards across the network.
Key responsibilities include managing, maintaining, and continuously improving the ISO/IEC 17025‑accredited QMS, coordinating internal audits, external assessments, and proficiency testing, and serving as the primary point of contact for IANZ and other regulatory bodies. The role also involves ensuring quality documentation is current and aligned with Eurofins standards, supporting method validation and quality control programs, leading staff training in quality principles, and promoting a culture of compliance and operational excellence.
Applicants should possess demonstrated experience in an ISO/IEC 17025–accredited laboratory environment, preferably in food, environmental, chemistry, or microbiology fields, with at least 3 years in a dedicated quality role. A comprehensive understanding of accreditation principles, laboratory quality systems, and regulatory expectations is essential. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, along with excellent written and verbal communication abilities, are required. A tertiary qualification in science or a related field is strongly preferred, and candidates must be eligible to work in New Zealand with the ability to travel to Australia.
