Laboratory Support Technician
The Laboratory Support Technician at Eurofins plays a crucial role in maintaining the efficiency and organization of multiple GMP laboratory spaces. This position supports scientific teams by ensuring that equipment is well-maintained, supplies are adequately managed, and workspaces are organized to facilitate seamless laboratory operations.
Key responsibilities include maintaining laboratory supply inventories and reagent stocks, preparing basic media and solutions, handling and transporting compressed gases and cryogenic liquids safely, and cleaning and monitoring controlled-temperature units, fume hoods, and biological safety cabinets. The technician also tracks and documents equipment maintenance, service, and calibration activities using electronic systems, manages laboratory notebooks and logbooks, and assists with scheduling recurring equipment maintenance and calibration. Additionally, the role involves routine cleaning, organization, and labeling of laboratory spaces, as well as providing operational support across multiple laboratory sites within approximately five miles.
Candidates should possess an Associate degree in Life Sciences or equivalent experience, along with strong computer, organizational, and communication skills. Excellent attention to detail and a strong work ethic are essential. The role requires the ability to lift over 25 pounds, stand or walk for extended periods, and push or pull equipment. Knowledge of cGMP environments is preferred, and candidates must be able to commute independently between nearby sites. The ability to work both independently and collaboratively with a positive, adaptable attitude is crucial. Authorization to work in the U.S. without restriction or sponsorship is required.
This full-time, onsite position offers schedules of Sunday–Thursday or Tuesday–Saturday, with training occurring Monday–Friday for several weeks. Flexibility to adjust to schedule changes, work weekends, or provide overtime coverage is required.
