Eurofins is seeking a Laboratory Technician I to join our Wastewater Epidemiology Lab in Louisville, Kentucky. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to public health by analyzing wastewater samples to monitor and manage epidemiological data.

The Laboratory Technician I will be responsible for following established procedures for specimen handling, processing, and record maintenance. Key duties include adhering to safety protocols, conducting quality control activities, performing instrument calibrations, and documenting all maintenance performed. The technician will also identify and address any issues affecting test performance, ensuring compliance with laboratory standards.

Candidates should possess a high school diploma, with preference given to those with experience in chemistry, biology, or related fields, or those with a background in a manufacturing environment. Strong scientific, organizational, and computer skills are essential, along with excellent communication abilities and attention to detail. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to work both independently and collaboratively, exhibit self-motivation and adaptability, and maintain a positive attitude. Prior laboratory experience, particularly with molecular techniques such as DNA extraction and PCR, is highly desirable.

This full-time position offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $18.25 to $24.25, along with comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and vision coverage, life and disability insurance, a 401(k) plan with company match, and paid vacation and holidays. The work schedule is Tuesday through Saturday, from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm.
