Laboratory Technician - Organic Prep - Environment Testing -2nd Shift, Sun-Thurs
Eurofins is seeking a Laboratory Technician for the Organic Preparation team within our Environmental Testing division. This full-time position is based in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, and operates on the second shift from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, Sunday through Thursday. Eurofins is a global leader in life sciences, providing a comprehensive range of analytical testing services to ensure the safety and quality of products across various industries.
The Laboratory Technician will be responsible for preparing samples and reagents using various procedures, ensuring that samples are processed within required hold times. Key duties include following written Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), maintaining accurate chain-of-custody documentation, and communicating with technical departments regarding sample status. Additional responsibilities encompass organizing and cleaning the work area, storing and discarding vials appropriately, restocking supplies, and assisting with special projects as needed.
Candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent and demonstrate proficiency in computer skills. Professional working proficiency in English, including the ability to read, write, and speak, is required. Authorization to work in the United States without restriction or sponsorship is also necessary. Ideal candidates will have prior laboratory experience, a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, and the ability to work effectively within a team, follow safety protocols, and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Eurofins offers a competitive compensation package, with a pay rate starting at $17.75 per hour plus a 10% shift differential.
