Laboratory Technologist - 2nd Shift - ASCP Certification Required
Eurofins is seeking a Laboratory Technologist to join their Central Lab team on the 2nd shift. This role involves accurately analyzing specimens and handling equipment according to study and client specifications. The technologist will perform and document routine and non-routine analyses to deliver timely and accurate results, validating them using technical and clinical rules with supporting IT systems for successful regulatory submissions.
Key responsibilities include conducting laboratory testing per established global protocols and procedures to generate high-quality, error-free analytical results. The technologist will escalate issues potentially impacting patient safety, data quality, or service levels, perform and document quality controls, and carry out routine equipment maintenance and repairs. Additional duties involve working with instrument vendors for maintenance and troubleshooting, complying with relevant regulations, supporting laboratory functions such as inventory and housekeeping, performing clinical validations, reviewing and releasing results to clients, and participating in proficiency testing.
The position requires a minimum of one year of experience in a diagnostic, clinical laboratory working with modern automation and relevant ASCP certification. Proficiency in using a commercial-grade or customized clinical Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) is essential. Educational qualifications include an Associate of Applied Science degree, with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Biology, Chemistry, Microbiology, or Medical Technology preferred. If the candidate does not hold a Medical Technology degree from an accredited institution, transcripts are required.
The schedule for this full-time role is Monday through Friday, 1:00 PM to 9:30 PM, with alternating Saturdays. The training schedule will be on the 1st shift, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Candidates within a commutable distance of Lancaster, PA, are encouraged to apply.
