This role involves developing and commissioning a new launch pad from scratch, contributing to the company's mission of creating a fully and rapidly reusable launch vehicle, Nova. Nova is designed for daily flights, aiming to reduce costs, increase availability, and improve reliability in space transportation.

As a Launch Technician, you will be responsible for building, assembling, and operating launch ground support equipment. This includes handling and integrating flight hardware based on written and verbal instructions, work orders, technical drawings, CAD models, and procedures. You will perform precision measurements and cleaning of hardware components, identify discrepancies, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with engineering to document corrective actions. Additionally, you will execute component builds or assemblies as per work orders and accurately document build processes for new and repeatable assembly sequences.

The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of experience in aerospace, mechanical, or construction environments. Proficiency in building, assembling, testing, and operating process piping, pneumatic, mechanical, hydraulic, and/or electrical systems is essential. Skilled handling of delicate and high-value assemblies is necessary, along with experience in operating heavy equipment such as reach-lifts and aerial lifts. The role requires the ability to work second shifts and weekends as needed, lift up to 40 lbs. unassisted, stand for extended periods, and maneuver in tight spaces. A valid driver’s license and the ability to obtain and maintain military installation access are also required.

Stoke Space offers a comprehensive benefits program, including subsidized medical, dental, and vision insurance, company-paid life and disability insurance, a 401(k) plan with employer match, 4 weeks of paid time off, 10 holidays (including an end-of-year closure), and paid family/parental leave. Additional perks include an on-site gym or monthly wellness stipend (depending on location) and dog-friendly offices. Employees are also offered equity in the form of stock options.

Joining Stoke Space means becoming part of a mission-driven, collaborative team that empowers individuals to take ownership of their work. The company is dedicated to building a thriving space economy that enables a vibrant, sustainable, and equitable future on Earth. If you are passionate about space technology and eager to contribute to groundbreaking advancements in the industry, Stoke Space provides a dynamic and supportive environment for your professional growth.
