Lead Algorithm Solutions Engineer

STR is seeking a Lead Algorithm Solutions Engineer to join its Intelligence division, which focuses on developing advanced analytics and machine learning solutions for national security challenges. The team comprises engineers with advanced degrees in engineering, computer science, and mathematics, dedicated to addressing complex problems faced by the intelligence community. This role is available in Arlington, VA, Woburn, MA, or Dayton, OH.

In this position, you will develop and optimize algorithm solutions for tasks such as computer vision, 3D modeling, data fusion of multi-modal sensor data, and open-set recognition in imagery. Collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams and academic partners is essential to deliver impactful solutions. Your work will support software solutions deployed across cloud and edge-capable devices and environments.

Candidates should have a BS degree in a scientific field like Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, or Physics, with at least 8 years of relevant experience. Proficiency in Python and familiarity with software development best practices, including version control (Git) and Agile methodologies, are required. The ability to obtain a security clearance is necessary.

The full-time salary range for this role is $180,000 to $220,000, based on factors such as experience, education, and prevailing market conditions.
