The Lead Clinical Research Associate (CRA) at MapLight Therapeutics is a pivotal role within the Clinical Operations team, reporting directly to the Vice President of Clinical Operations. This position involves overseeing a team of CRAs to ensure high-quality monitoring and site management across clinical studies. MapLight Therapeutics is a clinical-stage biotech company dedicated to discovering and developing therapies for central nervous system disorders, utilizing advanced technologies to identify novel drug targets and address psychiatric symptoms.

Key responsibilities include leading and managing a team of CRAs, providing line management, performance evaluations, and career development support. The Lead CRA will also maintain direct site management and monitoring responsibilities for assigned sites, conducting various monitoring visits in accordance with company SOPs, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices. Additionally, the role involves developing and maintaining study-specific monitoring procedures, recommending appropriate monitoring strategies, and acting as a core member of the cross-functional study team to proactively manage risks and issues related to monitoring quality.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and have substantial experience in clinical research, including previous leadership roles. Strong knowledge of Good Clinical Practices (GCP) and regulatory requirements is essential. The role requires excellent interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Experience in central nervous system disorders and working within a biotech environment is highly desirable.
