Lead Lawyer
The Lead Lawyer at Delivery Hero's subsidiary, Glovo, is a pivotal role within the company's legal team, focusing on managing legal functions in Romania and Moldova. Reporting directly to the Head of International, this position involves overseeing all legal aspects of Glovo's operations in these regions, ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations.
Key responsibilities include drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of contracts with various stakeholders, providing legal advice on matters such as privacy, labor, compliance, and regulated products, and collaborating with external law firms. The role also entails supporting strategic initiatives, implementing corporate governance policies, conducting due diligence, assessing risks, and preparing corporate documentation. Additionally, the Lead Lawyer serves as the compliance officer for Glovo Romania, addressing legal challenges proactively and effectively.
Candidates should possess at least seven years of experience as an in-house legal counsel or in a law firm, with a strong background in commercial law, consumer and antitrust law, and/or labor law. Fluency in English, both spoken and written, is essential, and proficiency in other languages, particularly Slavic languages, is advantageous. A Bachelor of Laws degree from Romania or a European country recognized in Romania is required. The ideal candidate is highly motivated, adaptable to the startup environment, and capable of multitasking and problem-solving.
