Senior Legal Counsel, Antitrust & Competition
Delivery Hero, a leading global local delivery platform, is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel specializing in Antitrust & Competition to join their regional legal team. This pivotal role involves navigating the complex competition landscape across the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region, managing a multi-jurisdictional portfolio spanning over 10 diverse markets. The position is based in Singapore and reports to the Head of Legal for APAC.
In this role, the Senior Legal Counsel will oversee and advise on all aspects of competition law related to foodpanda’s APAC operations, including antitrust investigations and commercial agreements across multiple jurisdictions. They will support the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of the global competition law compliance program, tailoring global frameworks to meet specific APAC market nuances. Additionally, the role involves advising senior regional and local leadership on strategic initiatives, competition law risks, and regulatory investigations, acting as a trusted business partner who balances global consistency with local commercial agility.
The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of post-qualified experience in competition/antitrust law, preferably gained from a top-tier international law firm or a fast-paced in-house environment. A qualification to practice in Singapore or Hong Kong is preferred, with exposure to technology-driven or platform businesses being a strong advantage. A strong understanding of antitrust regimes across APAC, including Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia, and the Philippines, is essential, along with a keen awareness of evolving digital economy regulations. The candidate should also possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex legal concepts for non-legal stakeholders and diverse stakeholder groups across different cultural and business contexts.
