Lead System Program Manager
STR is seeking a Lead System Program Manager to join its Space Missions and Sensing (SMS) Sector in Woburn, MA. The SMS Sector focuses on developing innovative technologies for space-based sensing, space control, and counter-sensing, with the Space and Counter Space (SCS) team specializing in electronic warfare technologies. The SCS team is dedicated to delivering critical capabilities to the warfighter through creative solutions and operational prototypes.
In this role, the Lead System Program Manager will oversee program schedules and budgets, collaborating closely with principal investigators to plan, execute, and deliver program capabilities. Responsibilities include identifying risks, developing mitigation plans, coordinating across functional teams, and ensuring effective communication with stakeholders. The manager will also lead proposal development, create subcontractor statements of work, and foster a collaborative environment within the team.
Candidates should possess an active security clearance at the Secret or Top Secret level, with the ability to obtain and retain an SCI/SAP clearance. A bachelor's degree in engineering and a minimum of eight years of relevant experience in government contracting or research and development are required. Experience managing Department of Defense projects and proficiency in program management tools are essential. Strong presentation, organizational, and leadership skills are necessary to effectively manage multiple programs and drive continuous improvements.
The full-time salary range for this position is $147,000 to $200,000 annually, based on factors such as experience, education, training, and security clearances.
