Legal Consultant - APAC Content & Online Safety, Emerging Tech
Axiom is seeking a Legal Consultant specializing in APAC Content & Online Safety within the Emerging Tech sector to join their team in Hong Kong. This role involves providing strategic legal counsel to a Fortune 500 client, focusing on content regulation, online safety, and emerging issues like AI-generated content. The position offers flexibility, with opportunities for both remote and on-site work, depending on client preferences.
Key responsibilities include interpreting and implementing regional legal and regulatory frameworks across company operations, delivering concise legal analyses to internal teams, and supporting business stakeholders with compliance advice, particularly in consumer protection and advertising standards. The consultant will also collaborate with regulators, partner with internal investigations teams to address regulatory inquiries, and design internal knowledge management systems and compliance infrastructure. Managing complex projects autonomously to ensure timely execution of legal and regulatory priorities is also essential.
Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of post-qualification experience in legal or compliance roles, preferably in-house within the APAC region. Expertise in content regulation, online safety, consumer protection, advertising standards, and emerging issues such as AI-generated content is required. Strong written communication skills, project management capabilities, and the ability to work independently are essential.
