Legal Consultant - Crypto and Fintech
Axiom is seeking experienced legal professionals specializing in cryptocurrency and fintech to collaborate with Fortune 500 clients in Singapore. This role involves managing comprehensive operational processes within crypto and fintech exchange activities, ensuring strict adherence to regulatory and internal control standards. The position requires oversight of Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Know Your Customer (KYC), sanctions screening, and transaction monitoring frameworks.
Key responsibilities include identifying, assessing, and mitigating operational, financial crime, and compliance risks associated with digital asset trading, custody, settlement, and on-chain transactions. The role necessitates close collaboration with internal stakeholders, such as compliance, risk, technology, product, and legal teams, to support audits, regulatory reviews, and supervisory engagements. Maintaining robust governance, policies, procedures, and documentation aligned with digital asset regulatory expectations is essential.
Ideal candidates should possess proven experience within crypto or fintech exchange environments, with hands-on exposure to digital asset operations, including client onboarding, wallet operations, transaction flows, and incident management. A strong background in operations and risk control, coupled with comprehensive compliance experience across the full operational lifecycle, is crucial. A business-oriented approach, sound judgment, and the ability to function effectively in fast-paced, regulated environments are imperative.
