Legal Consultant - Financial Services

Axiom is seeking a Financial Services Legal Consultant to join their Hong Kong team. This role involves providing legal support to business clients in the banking and financial sectors, offering guidance on regulatory compliance and banking matters. The consultant will work closely with stakeholders to deliver commercially tailored legal advice.

Key responsibilities include advising business clients directly on banking matters, supporting legal and regulatory advice, drafting and reviewing contracts across various practice areas within investment banks, analyzing new business initiatives and products from a legal perspective, and proactively monitoring compliance with domestic and international legal requirements.

Candidates should have a minimum of one year of experience in general banking, regulatory compliance, or banking finance. In-house legal experience is preferred but not essential. Strong commercial understanding, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders are essential.
