Legal Consultant - Insurance and Reinsurance
Axiom is seeking a Legal Consultant specializing in Insurance and Reinsurance to join their team in Singapore. This role involves collaborating with Fortune 500 clients to provide comprehensive legal support in the insurance sector. In this position, the consultant will manage various legal functions, including addressing regulatory and legal issues related to insurance and reinsurance, such as contract reviews and policy wordings. Responsibilities also encompass general corporate and commercial advisory work, drafting, negotiating, and reviewing legal agreements, and advising on local legal matters like civil, criminal, labor, outsourcing, and data protection laws. The role requires staying updated on legal developments and assessing their impact on the company, enhancing information dissemination systems, and supporting substantial legal and business transactions, including vendor agreements, distribution deals, M&A agreements, and special projects. Additionally, the consultant will provide legal support for insurance claims reviews as needed.
Candidates should possess 3 to 10 years of legal experience with a focus on insurance or reinsurance, along with expertise in corporate commercial contracts. A strong understanding of regulatory and legal issues in the insurance and reinsurance sectors is essential. The role demands proficiency in drafting, negotiating, and reviewing complex legal agreements, as well as advising on a broad spectrum of legal matters.
