Anduril Industries is seeking a Legal Counsel to join its rapidly growing team in Washington, DC, or Costa Mesa, CA, supporting the Frontier Systems Division's Air Defense and Counter-Intrusion Business Lines. This role focuses on managing the full spectrum of United States government contracts, including providing legal oversight for proposals, procurement, data rights, and contract structures, as well as offering guidance to existing business areas and developing legal and business strategies. The position involves close collaboration with customers, outside counsel, and internal business partners to support business development and legal operations.

Key responsibilities include driving customer growth by executing new government contracts and expanding existing ones, utilizing expertise in federal procurement law to assist Business Development, Proposal, and Engineering Teams in capturing new contracts and setting up future opportunities. The role also entails managing relationships with procurement office representatives at government agencies, providing legal counsel throughout the acquisitions lifecycle, overseeing major proposals, monitoring large contracts, leading or assisting in key negotiations, resolving performance issues, identifying risks and mitigations, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and policies. Additionally, the Legal Counsel will work on various legal aspects of Anduril's business, including negotiating license and services agreements, handling bid protests and litigation, and managing intellectual property, compliance, and employment matters.

The ideal candidate will have over four years of experience in U.S. government contracts, preferably with a law firm or in-house at a government contractor. A solid understanding of the government procurement process, including contract vehicles and types, software acquisition approaches, and data rights issues, is essential. The role requires strong communication, writing, and interpersonal skills, as well as the judgment and initiative to manage multiple projects from end to end. Candidates must be licensed to practice law in California or Washington, DC, and must be U.S. Persons due to required access to U.S. export-controlled information or facilities.

Anduril offers a competitive salary range of $191,000 to $253,000 annually, along with highly competitive equity grants.
