Legal Counsel
As the Legal Counsel at H&M, you will provide legal guidance that enables, protects, and supports the H&M Group by advising on regulatory matters, negotiating and reviewing agreements, and ensuring compliance with global legal standards. You will assess risks, manage contracts, and deliver clear legal support across the business, including training teams in relevant legal areas.
Your key responsibilities will include setting and enforcing legal standards, templates, and strategies, staying updated on global legal requirements, and supporting your market to achieve these. You will negotiate, draft, and review various agreements, including lease agreements, conduct judicial inquiries and due diligence, and handle and settle disputes. Additionally, you will assist Sales Market Controllers and Account Managers in corporate matters, including drafting corporate documentation and governance policies.
The ideal candidate holds a university degree in law and has 3–5 years of legal experience, ideally with experience in leasing or real estate. You should possess exceptional communication skills, both verbally and in writing, and have the ability to lead and coach a team. Strong judgment, analytical skills, and the capability to translate complex legal requirements into clear, practical guidance are essential. You should be comfortable with decision-making, even in ambiguous circumstances and tight timelines, and be able to work collaboratively with non-lawyers and teams with varying levels of experience.
