Legal Counsel, International
BridgeBio Pharma is seeking a Legal Counsel, International to support its European operations from the International Headquarters in Zug, Switzerland. This role involves providing comprehensive legal support across various functions, including Commercial, Medical Affairs, Regulatory, Market Access, Finance, and Supply Chain, to ensure compliance with applicable laws and internal policies.
Key responsibilities include drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a broad range of agreements such as supplier and vendor contracts, master services agreements, service agreements, NDAs/CDAs, and technology and digital services contracts. The Legal Counsel will also advise on contract structuring, liability and risk allocation, and contract interpretation, managing the full contracting lifecycle in partnership with business stakeholders. Additionally, the role involves supporting launch readiness and ongoing commercial operations across relevant European markets by advising on pre-marketing activities, field force materials, promotional reviews, patient support initiatives, and operational readiness questions. The Legal Counsel will participate in EU MLR (Medical, Legal, Regulatory) reviews to ensure promotional and medical materials meet EU and national requirements, providing clear guidance on claims, fair balance, substantiation, and appropriate risk mitigation.
The ideal candidate is a Swiss or EU-qualified lawyer with 10+ years of post-qualification experience, including extensive experience in the life sciences industry (medical device, pharma, biotech) within a multinational environment. Deep knowledge of EU and national pharma/healthcare laws, promotional codes, anti-bribery laws, industry trade association standards, global privacy requirements, and competition laws is essential. Experience with MLR (Medical, Legal, Regulatory) review processes is required. The candidate should demonstrate strong analytical, critical thinking, and strategic problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide strategic guidance at the leadership level while remaining hands-on in execution. Fluency in English is required, and proficiency in an additional European language (e.g., German) is preferred.
