Legal Counsel

Monks is seeking a highly collaborative Commercial Legal Counsel to support our Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region. This role involves providing strategic and operational legal counsel across various business areas, including content, digital marketing, advertising, technology, and data initiatives. The position is based in London and reports to our Director in EMEA.

Key responsibilities include drafting, reviewing, and negotiating client contracts such as Master Service Agreements (MSAs), Statements of Work (SOWs), technology licensing and reseller agreements, influencer and media partnerships, SaaS/vendor agreements, and agency/client service contracts. The role also involves responding to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Requests for Information (RFIs), participating in client pitches, and developing standardized contract templates and tools to improve process efficiency and legal protection.

The ideal candidate is a qualified lawyer with 1-5 years of post-qualification experience, preferably admitted in England and Wales. Experience in advertising, media agencies, digital media, and/or technology is strongly preferred. The candidate should have a proven ability to work with cross-functional teams, manage a high-volume workload in fast-paced environments, and possess excellent commercial judgment and communication skills.
