Legal Counsel (Payment)

Hyphen Connect Limited, Asia's leading web3 venture studio, is seeking a Legal Counsel to join their dynamic team. This role involves providing comprehensive legal support to the company's executives and management, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and legal requirements in the rapidly evolving web3 and crypto industry.

The Legal Counsel will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating legal contracts and agreements. Additionally, the role includes developing and implementing compliance policies and procedures, conducting regular audits, and providing guidance to employees on compliance matters. Staying updated with changes in laws impacting the company and offering strategic advice on potential impacts are also key aspects of the position.

Candidates should hold a law degree (LLB or J.D.) and be qualified in Hong Kong or other major common law jurisdictions. A minimum of 3-5 years of post-qualification experience in a reputable international or top local law firm is required. Experience in advising on products and related legal and regulatory matters, particularly in payment, fintech, EMI/PSP, or financial services compliance, is essential. Strong understanding of payments regulation, fund flows, and licensing frameworks, along with business proficiency in English and Mandarin, are also necessary.
