Legal Counsel, Procurement
Remote is seeking a commercially-minded Legal Counsel to join our team. This role focuses on managing high-impact commercial agreements that directly influence Remote's global operations. As a strategic partner, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams in product, sales, and operations to drive meaningful business outcomes within the evolving HR tech landscape.
Key responsibilities include reviewing, drafting, and negotiating a high volume of vendor agreements, SaaS contracts, and other commercial contracts. You will provide strategic legal advice to business stakeholders, develop and maintain contract templates and legal processes, and support vendor onboarding and management. Identifying legal risks and opportunities in commercial relationships and staying current on relevant laws and regulations affecting commercial contracts in multiple jurisdictions are also essential aspects of this role.
The ideal candidate will have rigorous legal training at a reputable law firm, significant experience in commercial law, particularly in negotiating and reviewing complex vendor agreements, and the ability to provide practical, business-oriented legal advice that balances risk with opportunity. Strong automation and AI capabilities, along with fluency in English, are also required.
