Legal Counsel - Trademark & IP (CDD - 6 months)
Ubisoft is seeking a Legal Counsel specializing in Trademark and Intellectual Property for a six-month fixed-term contract. This role is integral to the Global Brand Protection & IP Portfolio team, focusing on safeguarding and enhancing Ubisoft's global trademark portfolio. The position offers an opportunity to collaborate closely with creative, marketing, and business teams within a leading company in the gaming industry.
The Legal Counsel will be responsible for developing and implementing trademark protection strategies across a global portfolio of brands. Key duties include conducting trademark clearance searches, assessing risks, managing worldwide trademark prosecution processes, and handling disputes such as oppositions and cancellations. Additionally, the role involves providing strategic legal advice to marketing teams and studios, monitoring legal developments in IP, supporting IP audits during acquisitions, and ensuring compliance with Ubisoft's internal policies.
Candidates should possess experience in intellectual property law with a strong focus on trademarks, ideally within the entertainment, media, or video game industry in an international context. Essential skills include strong business acumen, proven negotiation and drafting abilities, the capacity to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, and proficiency in collaborating with remote teams. Fluency in English is required, with additional languages considered a plus.
