Legal Summer Associate (Summer 2026)

Zipline is seeking two proactive and curious Legal Summer Associates to join our Legal, Regulatory, and Policy Team for the Summer 2026 program. As a leader in autonomous drone delivery, Zipline is dedicated to transforming global logistics and providing equitable access to critical supplies worldwide. As a Legal Summer Associate, you will manage research projects across various legal landscapes, including corporate, aviation, international law, privacy, and healthcare. Responsibilities include building and maintaining a comprehensive knowledge base of legal information, drafting and reviewing commercial contracts, analyzing the impact of new legislation on our operations, and coordinating with public authorities for corporate filings and formalities.

The ideal candidate is a 1L or 2L law student with strong legal research and writing skills, analytical rigor, and attention to detail. You should be organized, able to manage competing priorities, and possess a positive, solution-oriented attitude. Creativity, confidence in suggesting new processes, and effective communication skills are essential. A deep belief in equitable access to goods for all people aligns with our mission.

This is a full-time, in-person internship lasting 10 weeks, with potential flexibility on start and end dates. The program will be hosted at our South San Francisco or Dallas office from May or June to August 2026. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer-sponsored work authorization now or in the future.

The starting compensation for this role is $1,700 per week, with the final cash pay depending on factors such as experience, qualifications, skills, and working location. The total compensation package may also include a housing stipend, overtime pay, relocation support, and paid sick time.
