Litigation Administrative Assistant
Nelson Mullins, an Am Law 100 firm, is seeking a Litigation Administrative Assistant to join our collaborative team in our Winston-Salem office. This role provides comprehensive administrative support to attorneys and legal teams, ensuring the smooth operation of day-to-day activities within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
The Litigation Administrative Assistant will be responsible for managing attorney calendars, scheduling meetings, and processing expense reimbursements. Key duties include preparing, revising, and finalizing correspondence, pleadings, and other legal documents, as well as handling electronic court filings across federal jurisdictions, including various circuits within the U.S. Court of Appeals and the North Carolina Court of Appeals. Additional responsibilities encompass client and matter intake processes, such as conducting conflict checks and opening new client and matter engagements.
The ideal candidate will have at least five years of experience in litigation legal administrative support within a law firm setting. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, is essential. Strong attention to detail, particularly in document review, and familiarity with document management, billing, and time entry systems are preferred. Experience with state, appellate, and federal e-filing procedures is desirable.
