Litigation Assistant
Morgan & Morgan is seeking a dedicated Litigation Assistant to join our team in West Los Angeles. As a Litigation Assistant, you will play a crucial role in managing the firm's daily operations and providing essential support to our legal team. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and fast-paced environment within a leading personal injury law firm committed to protecting the rights of individuals.
In this role, your primary responsibilities will include scheduling hearings and deadlines, organizing case files, and managing logistics to ensure efficient workflow. You will maintain pleadings and discovery indexes, organize exhibits and legal documents, and implement administrative processes to enhance operational efficiency. Additionally, you will be responsible for drafting and proofreading correspondence and legal documents, conducting legal research, and managing client billing processes.
The ideal candidate will possess a high school diploma or GED, with a preference for those holding an associate's degree in paralegal studies, a paralegal certificate, or a bachelor's degree. A minimum of two years of experience as an administrative assistant in a law firm or corporate legal department is required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment are essential. Experience in personal injury, workers' compensation, premises liability, or related practice areas is preferred.
This on-site position offers an hourly wage of $30, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical and dental insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and paid holidays.
