Litigation Assistant
Morgan & Morgan is seeking a dedicated Litigation Assistant to join our Arlington, Virginia office. As a key member of our legal team, you will play a vital role in managing daily operations and supporting attorneys in delivering exceptional legal services. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a firm committed to advocating for consumer rights.
In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of administrative and legal support tasks. Your duties will include scheduling hearings and deadlines, organizing case files, and managing logistics. Additionally, you will maintain pleadings and discovery indexes, organize exhibits and evidence, and draft and proofread legal documents such as pleadings and contracts. Effective communication with clients and witnesses to schedule meetings and depositions is also essential.
The ideal candidate will possess a high school diploma or GED, with a preference for those holding an Associate’s Degree in Paralegal Studies, a Bachelor’s Degree, or a Paralegal Certificate. A minimum of two years of experience as an administrative assistant in a law firm or corporate legal department is required. Strong organizational skills, the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
