Litigation Assistant
Morgan & Morgan is seeking a dedicated Litigation Assistant to join our Myrtle Beach, South Carolina office. As a key member of our legal team, you will support attorneys and paralegals in managing day-to-day operations, ensuring efficient case management and client service. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to a firm committed to advocating for consumer rights.
In this position, you will perform administrative duties such as scheduling hearings and deadlines, organizing case files, and managing logistics. Responsibilities include maintaining pleadings and discovery indexes, organizing exhibits and legal documents, and drafting correspondence and legal documents like pleadings and contracts. Additionally, you will research regulations and laws to assist in case preparation, manage client billing, and communicate with clients and witnesses to schedule meetings and depositions.
The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, with a preference for an Associate’s Degree in Paralegal Studies, Bachelor’s Degree, or Paralegal Certificate. A minimum of two years of experience as an administrative assistant in a law firm or corporate legal department is required. Experience in personal injury, workers' compensation, premises liability, or related practice areas is preferred. Candidates should be highly organized, capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment, and possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
