Litigation Assistant
Morgan & Morgan is seeking a dedicated Litigation Assistant to join our team in Medford, Massachusetts. This role involves close collaboration with lead attorneys and litigation paralegals to support our mission of advocating for consumer rights. As a Litigation Assistant, you will play a vital role in managing the firm's daily operations and ensuring the smooth progression of legal cases.
Key responsibilities include performing administrative duties such as scheduling hearings and deadlines, organizing case files, and managing logistics. You will maintain pleadings and discovery indexes, organize exhibits and legal documents, and implement administrative processes to enhance workflow efficiency. Additionally, tasks involve collecting and organizing evidence, drafting and proofreading legal documents, conducting legal research, managing client billing, and coordinating communications with clients and witnesses.
The ideal candidate will possess a high school diploma or GED, with a preference for those holding an Associate’s Degree in Paralegal Studies, a Bachelor’s Degree, or a Paralegal Certificate. A minimum of two years of experience as an administrative assistant in a law firm or corporate legal department is required. Candidates should be highly organized, capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment, and possess strong written and verbal communication skills. Experience in personal injury, workers' compensation, premises liability, or related practice areas is preferred.
This on-site position offers an hourly wage ranging from $24.52 to $28.85.
