Litigation Assistant
Morgan & Morgan is seeking a dedicated Litigation Assistant to join our team in Raleigh. This role involves close collaboration with a lead attorney and litigation paralegal, contributing to our mission of protecting consumer rights through effective legal support.
The Litigation Assistant will perform administrative duties such as scheduling hearings and deadlines, organizing case files, and managing logistics. Responsibilities include maintaining pleadings and discovery indexes, organizing exhibits and legal documents, and implementing efficient administrative processes. The role also involves collecting and organizing evidence, drafting and proofreading legal documents, conducting legal research, managing client billing, and coordinating meetings and depositions.
Candidates should possess a high school diploma or GED, with a preference for an Associate’s Degree in Paralegal Studies, Bachelor’s Degree, or Paralegal Certificate. A minimum of two years of experience as an administrative assistant in a law firm or corporate legal department is required. Preferred experience includes personal injury, workers' compensation, premises liability, or related practice areas. Strong organizational skills, the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
