Litigation Assistant
Morgan & Morgan is seeking a dedicated Litigation Assistant to join our team in Washington, D.C. In this role, you will support our legal professionals by managing daily operations and providing essential administrative services. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a firm committed to advocating for consumer rights.
As a Litigation Assistant, your responsibilities will include scheduling hearings and deadlines, organizing case files, and managing logistics. You will maintain pleadings and discovery indexes, organize exhibits and legal documents, and implement administrative processes to enhance workflow efficiency. Additionally, you will collect and examine evidence, draft and proofread legal documents, and conduct legal research to assist in case preparation.
The ideal candidate will possess a high school diploma or GED, with a preference for those holding an Associate’s Degree in Paralegal Studies, a Bachelor’s Degree, or a Paralegal Certificate. A minimum of two years of experience as an administrative assistant in a law firm or corporate legal department is required. Strong organizational skills, the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
This on-site position offers an hourly wage ranging from $24.52 to $28.85, depending on experience. Full-time employees are eligible for benefits including medical and dental insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and paid holidays.
