Litigation Assistant
Morgan & Morgan, a leading personal injury law firm, is seeking a qualified Litigation Assistant to join their team in Baltimore, Maryland. The firm is dedicated to protecting the rights of individuals against large corporations and insurance companies, with over 6,000 employees nationwide.
As a Litigation Assistant, you will be responsible for managing the law firm's day-to-day operations, including performing administrative duties such as scheduling hearings and deadlines, organizing case files, and managing logistics. You will also maintain pleadings and discovery indexes, organize exhibits and legal documents, and implement administrative processes to improve workflow efficiency. Additionally, you will collect, examine, and organize evidence for attorney review, draft and proofread correspondence and legal documents, and conduct research to assist with case preparation. Managing client billing and communicating with clients and witnesses to schedule meetings and depositions will also be part of your role.
The ideal candidate should have at least 2 years of experience as an administrative assistant, preferably in a law firm or corporate legal department. A high school diploma is required, with an associate's degree in paralegal studies, a paralegal certificate, or a bachelor's degree preferred. Experience in personal injury, workers' compensation, or premises liability is advantageous. Strong organizational skills, the ability to multitask, and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook are essential. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently are also important.
This is an on-site position offering a competitive hourly wage ranging from $24.52 to $28.85. Full-time employees are eligible for a comprehensive benefits package, including medical and dental insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and paid holidays.
