Litigation Assistant

Morgan & Morgan, a leading personal injury law firm, is seeking a qualified Litigation Assistant to join their Irvine, California office. The firm is dedicated to protecting the rights of individuals against large corporations and insurance companies. As a Litigation Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the legal team and ensuring the efficient operation of the firm's daily activities.

In this role, you will be responsible for performing administrative duties such as scheduling hearings and deadlines, organizing case files, and managing logistics. You will maintain pleadings and discovery indexes, organize exhibits and legal documents, and implement administrative processes to improve workflow efficiency. Additionally, you will collect, examine, and organize evidence for attorney review, draft and proofread correspondence and legal documents, and conduct research to assist with case preparation. Managing client billing and maintaining communication with clients and witnesses are also key aspects of this position.

The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience as an administrative assistant, preferably in a law firm or corporate legal department. A high school diploma is required, with an associate's degree in paralegal studies, a paralegal certificate, or a bachelor's degree being preferred. Experience in personal injury, workers' compensation, or premises liability is advantageous. Strong organizational skills, the ability to multitask, and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook are essential. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently are also important.
