Litigation Assistant
Morgan & Morgan, a leading personal injury law firm, is seeking a qualified Litigation Assistant to join their Sacramento, California office. The firm is dedicated to protecting the rights of individuals against large corporations and insurance companies, with over 6,000 employees nationwide.
As a Litigation Assistant, you will be responsible for managing the law firm's day-to-day operations, including administrative services and supporting the legal team. Your duties will encompass scheduling hearings and deadlines, organizing case files, maintaining pleadings and discovery indexes, and managing logistics. Additionally, you will collect, examine, and organize evidence and other legal documents for attorney review and case preparation.
The ideal candidate should possess a high school diploma or GED, with a preference for an Associate’s Degree in Paralegal Studies, Bachelor’s Degree, or a Paralegal Certificate. A minimum of 2 years of experience as an Administrative Assistant, preferably in a law firm setting or corporate legal department, is required. Experience in personal injury, workers compensation, premises, first party, or other injury-related practice areas is preferred. Strong organizational skills, the ability to multitask, prioritize, and handle a fast-paced environment are essential. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are also necessary.
This is an on-site position, offering the opportunity to work closely with the team and gain direct experience. The hourly wage for this role is $30 USD.
