Litigation Paralegal
Morgan & Morgan is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join our team in Jersey City, New Jersey. As a Litigation Paralegal, you will work closely with our attorneys, providing essential support before, during, and after trials. This role offers the opportunity to be fully immersed in the legal process and gain direct experience alongside a dedicated team committed to protecting consumer rights.
In this position, your primary responsibilities will include preparing legal documents such as pleadings, motions, affidavits, complaints, and legal memoranda. You will be responsible for e-filing all court documents in both state and federal courts, conducting legal research and factual investigations, and preparing discovery documents, interrogatories, and responses. Additionally, you will coordinate and summarize depositions, prepare trial binders and exhibits, and assist attorneys with various tasks throughout the litigation process.
The ideal candidate will possess a high school diploma or GED, with an associate degree, certificate, or equivalent work experience preferred. A minimum of 2 years of litigation experience is required, along with completion of a nationally accredited paralegal program preferred. Experience in personal injury, workers' compensation, premises liability, or other injury-related practice areas is advantageous. Strong organizational skills, the ability to multitask and prioritize, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook are essential for success in this role.
This on-site position offers a salary range of $70,000 to $85,000 per year, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical and dental insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and paid holidays.
