Litigation Paralegal
Morgan & Morgan, a leading personal injury law firm dedicated to protecting the people, not the powerful, is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join their team in Gainesville, Florida. As a Litigation Paralegal, you will work closely with attorneys, providing essential support before, during, and after trials.
In this role, your key responsibilities will include preparing legal documents such as pleadings, motions, affidavits, complaints, and legal memoranda. You will be responsible for e-filing all court documents in state and federal courts and maintaining communication with clients, courts, counsel, and other parties. Conducting legal research and factual investigations, preparing discovery documents, and coordinating depositions are also integral parts of the position. Additionally, you will assist in preparing trial binders and exhibits, drafting pleadings, motions, and appellate documents, and performing administrative duties like calendaring hearings and organizing case files.
The ideal candidate should possess an associate degree, certificate, or equivalent work experience, with a preference for completion of a nationally accredited paralegal program. A minimum of two years of litigation experience is preferred. Strong organizational skills, the ability to multitask, and proficiency in written and verbal communication are essential. Knowledge of motions, discovery, evidence, litigation documentation, court rules, and procedures is required. The role requires the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
Compensation for this position is competitive, with salaries ranging from $75,000 to $115,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
