Litigation Paralegal
Morgan & Morgan is seeking a dedicated Litigation Paralegal to join our team in Mobile, Alabama. This role involves close collaboration with a lead attorney and a litigation assistant, contributing to our mission of protecting consumer rights. As a Litigation Paralegal, you will play a vital role in supporting our legal team throughout the litigation process.
Key responsibilities include preparing legal documents such as pleadings, motions, affidavits, complaints, and legal memoranda. You will be responsible for e-filing court documents in both state and federal courts, conducting legal research and factual investigations, and preparing discovery documents, including interrogatories and responses. Additionally, you will coordinate and summarize depositions, prepare trial binders and exhibits, and assist attorneys with interrogatories and other discovery requests.
The ideal candidate will possess an Associate's Degree, certificate, or equivalent work experience, with completion of a nationally accredited paralegal program preferred. A minimum of two years of experience as a litigation paralegal or in legal services under an attorney in a law firm setting is required. Experience in personal injury, workers' compensation, premises liability, first-party claims, medical malpractice, or other injury-related practice areas is essential. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to multitask, organize, prioritize, and manage workloads in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision, along with strong written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail.
