Litigation Paralegal
Morgan & Morgan is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join our team in Las Vegas, Nevada. This role involves working closely with a lead attorney and legal assistant to support our mission of advocating for consumer rights. As a Litigation Paralegal, you will play a crucial role in managing legal documents, conducting research, and facilitating communication between clients and the court system.
Key responsibilities include preparing legal documents such as pleadings, motions, affidavits, complaints, and legal memoranda. You will be responsible for e-filing all court documents in state and federal courts, conducting legal research and factual investigations, and preparing discovery documents, interrogatories, and responses. Additionally, you will coordinate and summarize depositions, prepare trial binders and exhibits, and assist attorneys with interrogatories and other discovery requests.
The ideal candidate will have an associate's degree, certificate, or equivalent work experience, with at least two years of experience as a litigation paralegal or in legal services under an attorney in a law firm setting. Completion of a nationally accredited paralegal program is preferred. Experience in personal injury, workers' compensation, premises liability, first-party claims, medical malpractice, or other injury-related practice areas is required. Strong written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask and manage a fast-paced workload with minimal supervision are essential.
