Loans & Distributions Specialist, (ARPS)
The Loans & Distributions Specialist at American Retirement Plan Services (ARPS), a Strongpoint Partner, plays a crucial role in administering qualified retirement plans. This position focuses on coordinating participant loan and distribution activities, ensuring timely and accurate processing while maintaining compliance with ERISA and plan regulations. Key responsibilities include processing participant distributions and loan requests for qualified retirement plans, communicating with plan sponsors, participants, recordkeepers, and internal teams regarding loan and distribution activities, and reviewing loan applications to prepare promissory notes and amortization schedules. Working across multiple retirement plan recordkeepers and brokerage platforms to facilitate processing and resolve issues is also a critical aspect of this role.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience processing loans and distributions for qualified retirement plans and a strong understanding of ERISA rules and regulations related to retirement plan loans and distributions. Familiarity with multiple retirement plan recordkeepers and their loan/distribution procedures is essential, and experience with plan terminations and automatic rollover processes is preferred.
