Maintenance Assistant - Babington House
As a Maintenance Assistant at Babington House, you will support the Maintenance Supervisor and Facilities team in ensuring that the building, facilities, and equipment are maintained to a high standard. This role is integral to keeping the club safe, functional, and well-presented for members, guests, and staff. Soho House is a collection of members' clubs, restaurants, hotels, and cinemas, catering to those in the film, media, fashion, and creative industries.
Key responsibilities include carrying out minor repairs and general maintenance tasks such as painting, basic plumbing, light bulb changes, and furniture assembly. You will support planned preventative maintenance and reactive work orders as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor. Additionally, you will assist with inspections of equipment, fixtures, and building systems to identify issues early and help with room and facility setups for meetings, events, or club functions.
The ideal candidate will have up to 2 years of experience in a busy, high-profile venue and a natural flair for first-class service. Basic experience in general maintenance, handyman work, or a similar support role is essential. You should be comfortable using tools and carrying out physical tasks, possess good attention to detail, and take pride in keeping spaces clean and functional. The ability to work independently and as part of a team is crucial, along with flexibility and a willingness to support different departments as needed.
