Soho House & Co. is seeking a Real Estate Counsel to join their expanding legal team in London. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a UK-qualified lawyer with 4-8 years of post-qualification experience to contribute to a dynamic and growing company. The successful candidate will report to the Senior Legal Director and collaborate closely with the existing legal teams in both London and New York.

In this position, the Real Estate Counsel will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a variety of real estate and construction contracts, including agreements for lease, leases, development agreements, and operating agreements. The role also involves managing the company's leasehold and freehold property portfolio, handling consents, alterations, assignments, and easements. Additionally, the counsel will work on international legal projects, develop template contracts for property transactions, and ensure compliance with applicable UK real estate legislation.

Ideal candidates will possess a strong background in commercial property law, with a solid understanding of construction and general commercial laws. Excellent drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills are essential, along with the ability to identify and escalate issues appropriately. A proactive and flexible approach, with the capacity to work independently and as part of a team, is crucial. Experience in private practice is preferred, and in-house experience, particularly in the hospitality sector, would be advantageous.
