Major Account Manager (NY/CT)
Arista Networks is seeking a Major Account Manager to join our growing Sales organization in the Westchester County, NY, and Fairfield County, CT areas. In this role, you will act as a trusted advisor, implementing sales strategies to exceed targets within a designated list of commercial accounts. As a member of the Arista Sales team, you will serve as the primary liaison between the company and its customers, aligning technical resources to achieve desired business outcomes. This position typically reports to a Regional Sales Manager or Area VP of Sales.
Key responsibilities include exceeding measurable sales objectives and expanding the Arista brand within 15-20 enterprise and commercial accounts, with a focus on new business development. You will utilize a consultative selling approach to address client needs related to hybrid cloud computing and legacy IT systems, leveraging Arista's product portfolio, including Software-Driven Open Networking high-performance Data Center Campus solutions, Cognitive Campus Wi-Fi, AI Networking switching platforms, DANZ Monitoring Fabric, and Network Detection & Response (NDR). Engaging with key influencers, decision-makers, and C-level executives to present Arista’s value proposition is essential. Additionally, you will collaborate with systems engineers to design cost-effective solutions, establish and manage key channel relationships, and conduct demand generation activities such as happy hours, lunch-and-learns, and technology forums.
The ideal candidate possesses a hunter mentality with a proven track record in technology sales, including cultivating existing customer relationships and penetrating new accounts. A minimum of 7 years of technology sales experience, along with a BS/BA degree or equivalent, is required. Relevant experience in data center or networking industries (LAN/WAN, SDN) from a technology partner, competitor, channel partner, or end user is essential. Strong relationships within the territory, excellent interpersonal skills, and technical acumen in areas such as Networking, SDN, NFV, Switching, Network Automation, Routing, Data Center, Edge Computing, Network Virtualization, Hyper-converged infrastructure, or Cloud computing are highly desirable.
The base salary for this role ranges from $108,000 to $148,000, with the actual offer depending on factors such as skills, qualifications, relevant experience, and location. In addition to the base salary, the compensation package may include discretionary bonuses, commissions, equity, and benefits such as medical, dental, vision, wellbeing programs, tax savings, and income protection.
